Greed

Have you ever been greedy

When really you are needy?

Have you ever seemed glad

When really you are sad?

Why is it we want people to think we are mostly alright

When really we can not sleep most the night?

If only we could stay in the moment each day

Instead of our thought running so far away

How do we just stop and give our greed to God

As each step of the way we do trod

We are not really in charge of our destiny

So, do you not see

The Beauty of living one moment at a time

Is, Our Lord is in charge of our mind

Now, take that greed, anger, false pride, and all that sin

Give it to Jesus my friend.
